Dorset County Council Pension Fund

The £1.6bn Dorset County Council pension fund has hired three managers following an investment review. JP Morgan Asset Management will manage a £58m global emerging markets (EM) equities mandate and replaces Pictet, who will continue to run a global equity excluding EM mandate. Baring Asset Management has been selected to run a £78m diversified growth mandate funded from cash and a small reduction in the in-house UK equity portfolio. Meanwhile, Insight Investment will run a £157m liability-hedging bonds strategy mandate, funded in the longer term by the 10% of the fund previously managed by ECM, who was fired 18 months ago. The assets were managed in the interim by Royal London Asset Management.
