Threadneedle Investments, has appointed James Allum in the new role of client relationship director.

Threadneedle Investments, has appointed James Allum in the new role of client relationship director.

Allum, who joined the company on 4 December, will take lead responsibility for managing relationships with institutional clients invested in Threadneedle’s real estate portfolios.

Before joining Threadneedle, Allum spent five years at Aviva Investors as a client relationship manager responsible for managing the Real Estate Client Services team. Prior to this he was a client service manager at Henderson Global Investors.

Threadneedle global head of client service Andrew Nicoll said: “James brings with him extensive industry knowledge and a proven track record in developing strong relations with clients.”

As at the end of November 2012, Threadneedle had £5.6bn in property assets under management.
