Bernard Abrahamsen is to leave M&G Investments after 13 years as head of institutional distribution within the company’s fixed income business.

M&G Fixed Income chief executive Simon Pilcher and Jenny Williams, head of institutional public debt, will take on Bernard’s responsibilities in the near term, the company said.

Abrahamsen, who joined M&G from Schroders in 2002, is not thought to be moving on.

Pilcher said: “Bernard has done a fantastic job in establishing and developing Fixed Income’s institutional distribution capabilities, both in the UK and internationally.

“His legacy is a strong team and excellent client relationships – a legacy on which M&G will continue to build. I am deeply grateful for his outstanding contribution and wish him the best for the future.”
