Tegs Harding brings experience across various pension scheme sectors.

The London Pensions Fund Authority (LPFA), the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) administering Authority and £8bn LGPS fund, has appointed Tegs Harding as a new member of its board. 

Harding is an established professional trustee and head of sustainability for Independent Governance Group.

She brings experience across various pension scheme sectors, including defined contribution master trusts, defined benefit, and collective defined contribution schemes.

Harding is a qualified actuary and a fellow of the Institute of Actuaries. She also holds a CFA certificate in environmental, social and governance  Investment and is an accredited member of the Association of Professional Pension Trustees.

Prior to her move into trusteeship, Harding built a career in investments.

She began her career in 2005 at an investment bank before moving to an insurance company in 2008.

For the next decade, she served as a senior investment consultant at Mercer, where she designed and implemented changes in investment strategy across a broad range of public and private asset classes.  

In addition to this, Harding brings experience chairing investment committees for several large schemes, including a large defined contribution master trust.

She also chairs the funding and investment committee for the UK’s first CDC scheme. 

Harding has a track record of implementing ESG policies, including net-zero targets, for several multi-billion-pound schemes, and has led on policy as well as member communication on ESG and climate-aware investing to improve engagement and understanding around schemes’ net zero ambitions.
