LGPS Central, the pension pool for the eight local government pension schemes in the Midlands, has appointed Rajeev Mehta as programme director.
As LGPS Central continues to deliver on its strategic objectives and support UK pooling, Mehta’s appointment aims to help drive forward the pool’s programme of innovation and development.
Mehta has a track record in delivering transformation and regulatory programmes in investment and asset management.

In addition to change leadership, he has held senior roles in portfolio trading and product management.
Commenting on his appointment, Mehta said: “There is a tremendous opportunity to make a meaningful impact through well-governed, purposeful programme delivery. I look forward to working with colleagues and partner funds to help shape the future of pooling.”
Chief people and transformation officer Anouska Ramsay added: “Rajeev’s appointment underlines our commitment to building our capability to execute LGPS Central’s Fit For The Future plan, making sure that we continue to deliver excellent value and service for our partner funds.”
