Pensions administration specialist RPMI’s revamp of its leadership team has continued with the appointment of a new chief executive.

Philip Willcock takes up the role in February, replacing the outgoing boss Chris Hitchen.

The appointment follows news that Paul Sturgess becomes managing director of pension administration business from January, while David Maddison moves to MD of Scheme.

Willcock joins from Aviva, where he has led businesses in the UK and Ireland. These have included stints as sales and marketing director and chief operating officer.

He has also been joint chief executive for Aviva’s joint venture company in Indonesia and chief executive of the insurer’s business in Italy.

Willcock was chosen for the role by a panel that comprised John Chilman, Babloo Ramamurthy and Paul Trickett, chairs of RPMI’s three companies.

RPMI said in a statement that the revamp of its executive team is over following this appointment.
