Surrey-based retirement product provider Just Group has bought a majority stake in Corinthian Pension Consulting in a bid to expand its advisory services to the defined benefit (DB) market.

Surrey-based retirement product provider Just Group has bought a majority stake in Corinthian Pension Consulting in a bid to expand its advisory services to the defined benefit (DB) market.

The acquisition of a 75% stake in Corinthian follows Just’s recent launch of HUB Pension Solutions, which offers pensions advisory services to employee benefit consultants, financial advisers and pension schemes.

Corinthian, which was previously an owner-managed business, continues to be led by its current chief executive Robert MacGregor. The remaining 25% the company continues to be held by existing shareholders.

The subsidiaries Corinthian Benefits Consulting and Corinthian Affinity Solutions will continue to operate as before, becoming part of a newly-formed holding company, Corinthian Group Holdings .

The financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
