The railway workers pension scheme has continued its recruitment drive by hiring a new senior investment manager.

RPMI Railpen has welcomed Jocelyn Brown to its sustainable ownership team.

This follows the appointments of Alastair Dawson and Richard van Lente, who were hired last week to strengthen its property team.

In her new role Brown (pictured) will focus on corporate governance. She reports to head of sustainable ownership Leo George.

Brown joins from International Shareholder Services (ISS), where she was global head of ESG product management. Here she handled regulatory affairs across Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

Prior to this she sharpened her skills as a corporate finance adviser at the Financial Reporting Council. During her time at the organisation she was implementation lead for the UK Stewardship Code.

This experience, George said, will enhance the scheme’s sustainable capabilities.

Brown added that she admires Railpen’s corporate governance work and looks forward to building on its impressive record in this area.
