The company that runs The People’s Pension has beefed up its leadership team by recruiting two new directors.

B&CE has welcomed David Brown as director of strategy and innovation, while Tracy Weller is set to join in the summer as director of business operations.

Brown (pictured) joined the master trust provider from AXA Wealth, where he was strategy director, at the start of January.

Weller’s first day will not be until June after she has worked her notice at Hymans Robertson, where she is practice leader for third party administration.

Brown brings more than 30 years of experience to the master trust earned at organisations such as AXA UK and Winterthur Life.

Weller has held senior roles at The Pensions Trust, Equiniti and Merchant Navy’s Pension Administration.

B&CE has also made a few promotions. Roy Porter has becomes group director of sales and marketing while Chris Jones becomes group director of change.

B&CE chief executive Patrick Heath-Lay said Weller and Brown bring considerable strategy and operations expertise to the senior leadership team at a time when the organisation is expanding.

“These hires, combined with the internal appointments, will ensure we continue to be well positioned for future growth,” he added.

The People’s Pension serves 73,000 employers and has more than 3.3 million members.
