Emma Douglas has left Mercer to join Legal & General Investment Management (LGIM) as head of defined contribution (DC) solutions.

Emma Douglas has left Mercer to join Legal & General Investment Management (LGIM) as head of defined contribution (DC) solutions.

At LGIM she will develop the firm’s DC proposition, reporting to global head of solutions, Aaron Meder.

Douglas (pictured), who has more than 20 years’ experience in the investment management industry, was previously a partner at Mercer and head of Mercer Workplace Savings. Prior to that, she was head of DC sales at Blackrock and before then head of DC pensions and institutional client relationships at Threadneedle Investments.

Meder said: “Emma will play a key leadership role in developing our DC business, building on our existing solutions capabilities and working in partnership with our distribution teams and other parts of Legal & General’s business to help develop our strong relationships with pension clients and consultants.”
