Mark Boyle has been re-appointed as the non-executive chair of The Pensions Regulator.

He started the role in 2014 and his new three-year term starts in April.

Boyle has led the organisation through what has been an eventful period for the pensions industry with collapse of BHS and the introduction of pension freedoms.

He has bought experience in banking, blue chip companies and government to the role.

Boyle spent five years as HM Land Registry’s non-executive chair. He was also a director and chief operating officer at the Shareholder Executive, a team that looked after a portfolio of government-owned businesses, including the Royal Mail.

Before that he spent 12 years in senior commercial and corporate roles at contract caterer Compass and services group Rentokil Initial.

He has also had stints at Lloyds Bank and Kleinwort Benson on his CV.
